The Song Provided on this page is sung by Dawn and taken from Ben's Coming Album Welcome to The Heart of a Child Fund a Young Volunatary Organisation currently based in Inishowen, Donegal, Ireland. e We are an Organisation that has two primary focuses The First To Create Awareness of a Congenital Heart Condition called Hypo-plastic Left Heart Syndrome In Ireland & Worldwide Our First Steps in doing this is through Conducting Research on this Condition with a view to providing a written report and a petition to be submitted to The Health Minister in Ireland on compeletion. Funding currently been raised goes directly towards this and the production of information once approved, to be submitted to all hospitals and relevant avenues, where parents and family that are faced with having a child with this condition are clearly aware of all their options of support and highlighting them of our on line support group. The Second To Support Bereaved HLHS Parents and Families through Conventional and Non-Conventional methods of Bereavement, In order to assist them in coming to fully understand the loss of their Child This part of work has not started yet and will do in due course once relevant Training has been completed and funding is made available. Our Secondary Aims are included on our Who We Are Page The Founder Dawn Mitchell lost her own son to Hypo-plastic Left Heart Syndrome and here follows a slide show on their journey together and the formation of The Heart of a Child Fund. We are delighted to announce the launch of our HLHS Support Group.
This space was created to allow Parents, family and friends of HLHS Kids join and be part of a group of courageous people that share a common experience.
Parents and Family who have also sadly lost a Child to HLHS can join also and share tribute pictures and stories.
This Site also allows you to chat directly with our Team and with each other.
We will be hosting regular on line coffee mornings where our staff will offer support where they can.

and after obtaining a vast amount of information on HLHS we are now building our Report .
To date we have collected 1063 Signatures for our petition.
